Sea Festival and New Year Countdown
Ministry of Tourism organized the Sea Festival to celebrate Cambodia Bay for being a member of the most beautiful bay in the world as well as to welcome New Year 2012 on Ocheuteal Beach, Preah Sihanouk Province.
The main activities included Live-Concert, Musical Entertainment and Firework, Beach & Water Sport Activities and Food Festival & Coastal Tourism Development Projects Exhibition.
H.E Dr. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the council of Ministers and his wife paid a visit to the international food festival and other exhibitions areas.
CRA Booth & Members' Booths
CRA showcased members logos and activities on video during the festival. Thank our members for allowing CRA logo to display on their booths to show unity and CRA involvement to the public, future members and the government officials.
Our Member, Cambodian Country Club brought three ponies to participate in the sport activity to provide ride service to visitors along the beach.
CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION
Ministry of Tourism issued certificates to all exhibitors participating in the sea festival and new year countdown. This certificate was also awarded to CRA.
ARTISTIC REHEARSAL
On 27th Dec 2011, Madam President was invited to visit common artistic spectacle rehearsal for sea festival and new year countdown in Diamond Island.
SEA FESTIVAL BRIEFING
On 03rd December 2011, CRA members attended the sea festival briefing meeting conducted by Mr. So Visothy and Mr. Luu Meng who are the organizing committee members.

1st FOLLOW-UP MEETING FOR SEA FESTIVAL
As Madam President is a member of sea festival organizing committee, she was invited to attend the follow up meeting on organizing sea festival and new year countdown on 15th December 2011.
2nd FOLLOW-UP MEETING FOR SEA FESTIVAL
On 22nd December 2011, exhibitors were invited to attend the guideline meeting of Food festival and tourism development Project Exhibition. The exhibitors were informed of booth, construction move in/out, booth layout, cooking area, power requirement, security & safety, accommodation and so forth.
Interview with Economics Today
On 2nd December 2011, Madam President was interviewed by Economics Today at Van’s Restaurant. The questions were raised included the current situation of restaurant industry, current standard, new entry restaurants, challenges to restaurant operators and so on.
Consultative Meeting on Feasibility Studies of AFD Experts on “Financing Model” to operate Cambodian Tourism Vocational Training School
05th December 2011, Madam President was invited to attend the consultative Meeting on Feasibility Studies of AFD Experts on Financing Model to operate Cambodian Tourism School as she is a member of Private Sector Consultation Team.
AFD Experts presented the perspective of Cambodia Tourism Industry and the need of human resources for the current and future trend.
Their studies were refined from experience and implementation in Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand on how to finance vocational training school for Tourism Industry. The mode of financing was proposed include training tax, student loan and donation to sustain the school.
AFD Expert met Madam President
On 6th December 2011, Mr. Lautier from AFD met Madam President to seek for her personal opinion on how to finance the school at Van’s Restaurant as his intention is to meet individually with presidents of tourism associations.
Meeting with Representatives from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore
On 02nd December 2011, Madam President and Mr. Sakal Phoeungmet with representatives of Temasek Polytechnic in Van’s Restaurant. They are seeking for advice on cooking training needs of restaurant industry in the market as they are willing to set up a culinary school in Cambodia.
The 6th Cambodia Import-Export & One Province One Product Exhibition 2011 Plus ACMECS
- Official Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition
On 15th December 2011, CRA members were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 6th Cambodia Import-Export & One Province One Product Exhibition 2011 Plus ACMECS in Diamond Island.
- Business & Investment Forum on A Wide Greater Business & Investment Environment in Cambodia
On 16th December 2011, CRA members were invited to attend the Business & Investment Forum. Lecture on business and investments opportunities in Cambodia such as the potential in Kampong Cham Province as well as business opportunities of Japanese companies in Cambodia were delivered to the participants in Cambodiana hotel.
- Trade Matching
On 17th December 2011, CRA Member was invited to participate the trade matching in Diamond Island. It was a business matching program between buyers and sellers.
Workshop on food safety requirements at restaurants
On 22nd December 2011, ADB organized the workshop on food safety requirements at restaurant in Cambodiana Hotel. The objective of this workshop is to have discussion between stakeholders regarding the draft “Requirement to be met by restaurants under risk-based food safety control system of Ministry of Health”.
The main points include requirement on location, design & surroundings, sanitary facilities for staff and visitors, requirements for food handling areas, requirements for serving rooms, requirements for incoming materials, requirements for waste and hazardous substances, pest control, staff health, personal hygiene, sanitation (cleaning and disinfection), general hygiene practice, training and so on.

Ms. Celine Serriere was invited to talk about her establishments, Amajaya Pancam Hotel, Kwest and Le Moon on the program “CEO forum” Many questions were raised to know more including education & working experience, company background, why doing business in Cambodia, current business situation, success key factor, achievements and so forth.
